One-segment digital TV tuner.

In Japan, analog TV broadcasting will finish until 2011. Digital TV’s catch copy is that the vision is stable and clear even if you move on hi-speed. Therefore digital is more suitable than analog TV for in-car-use. And now there are various digital TV tuners for in-car-use.

One of them supports for 16 segment digital TV (Full Hi-vision). But they are too expensive for me. The price starts from about 500USD. Another one can only receive only one-segment digital TV channel. I choose one-segment digital TV. However, quality of one-segment digital TV likes 1/4 VGA.

I choose cheapest one-segment digital tuner. Installation is not difficult. Connecting battery cable, setting infrared-ray receiver, Hiding hide-away unit under the seat and put on two film antennas on front-window and rear-side-rectangle-small-window.

All was done. Turn switch on. Image appeared on the display. OK! Here we go. But when running on the road the display was blue out. “can not find channel”. Oh my god. Why it was more suitable for automobiles!

But this behavior is very safe.
